Going live
A confirmed email, a business name and a country. What changes, and what to check first.
Live mode means real money and real consequences. This is what it takes, and what changes once you are there.
What we ask for
A confirmed email address, a business name and a country. No documents, no queue, no waiting for a human. Same-asset settlement is not a regulated exchange service, so it does not carry the obligations that would justify one.
| Tier | You get | You need |
|---|---|---|
| 0 — test only | The full API, no real money | An email address |
| 1 — live | Live payments, same-asset settlement, a monthly cap | Confirmed email, business name, country, a clean screen |
| 2 — full | Conversion between assets, no cap | Full verification |
Converting one asset into another is an exchange service, and that is the part that carries obligations. Being paid in what the buyer sent does not, which is why the light tier exists at all.
Sanctions screening is not optional
We screen the business at activation and addresses at payment time. This is not something we can waive, for anybody, in any jurisdiction — and where screening cannot reach a conclusion we refuse rather than assume. A temporary block is not a judgement about you.
Before you switch the key
- Your webhook endpoint is public HTTPS and verifies the signature.
- You deduplicate on the event id, in something that survives a restart.
- You fulfil on
completed, not onsettledand not on the redirect. - You have handled underpayment, expiry and reorg — all three are producible in test.
- Your live key holds the minimum scopes it needs.
- Your settlement address is a wallet you will still control next year.
- Somebody other than you can reach the emergency stop.
Test one small live payment before you send traffic.
Buy something from yourself for the smallest amount you accept, and follow it all the way through to the settlement record and the transaction on a block explorer. The first live payment is the wrong moment to discover that the address in the panel is not the wallet you thought it was.
What changes
Live keys are refused for actions the account is not yet entitled to, and the monthly cap is enforced rather than advisory. Refund deadlines are real and breaches are chased. Everything else behaves exactly as it did in test — that is the point of test mode.
Keys and rotation
Create a separate key per service, with only the scopes that service needs. Rotating gives you a new secret while the old one keeps working for a short overlap, so you can roll servers without downtime.
Rotation is not the tool for a leak. If a secret is in the wrong hands, revoke it — that kills it immediately, along with any secret it was rotating to.
